A Functional packaging

We have specific packaging for galettes and crêpes. Crêpes and galettes have different folds and fillings. Our boxes adapt to different folding techniques, different fillings and different consumption patterns.

The crêpe packaging developed by Eocrep is exactly the right size. The small triangular box is designed so that a crêpe fits snuggely inside. This crêpe packaging is recommended for simple fillings, such as butter & sugar. Crepes with a genorous topping are best presented in the large triangle bow with lid.

The 28 cm square tray is designed to match the size of a galette turned on a standard bilig (crepe maker). The 23 cm square galette takeaway pack and the large triangle allow to present a galette with a generous filling. By keeping the "empty space" in the box to a minimum, it's easier maintain the temperature of the food.

We make our packaging from a plant-based material called bagasse or sugar cane pulp. This raw material is both eco-responsible and technical. It has the ability to absorb moisture and condensation, and also to maintain temperature. Your crepe stay crispy because condensation does not soak the product, as it is absorbed by the box. Our packaging prevents your crêpes and galettes from cooling too quickly.

How long do the crêpes and galettes stay warm in their packaging?

The answer is about ten minutes, but a lot depends on a number of factors:

• What temperature are you turning at?
• How hot are the fillings?
• Do you close the lid immediately after filling?
• Do you stack several trays?
• Are they in a paper bag?
• Is the meal delivered in a thermal bag?

Can the dishes be reheated in their boxes?

If necessary, your customers can reheat their meals in the boxes. Example: A crepe and galette dinner picked up after office and eaten an hour later needs to be reheated quickly. A few seconds in the microwave is all it takes for your galette to reach the right temperature. Crepes too can be quickly reheated in just a few seconds in the microwave. They regain their softness and texture. 

To reheat several galettes and crêpes at the same time, use the electric oven. Preheat it to 210°C and slide the galette trays into the oven with the lids on.

Depending on the filling, allow between 3 to 7 minutes for a hot galette. Then remove the lid for 1 or 2 additional minutes to enhance the crispiness. Remove the crepe packaging containing the galettes and put the boxes with the crêpes in their place. Warm the crêpes in the switched-off oven while you eat your galettes.
